MSPL Limited, Forest Department, Vijayanagara Youth group and Green Hospet organized a sapling planting program on 5/6/2020 at the Ambedkar Circle of the city. Mrs Jayalakshmi, Commissioner, Municipal Council, was the chief guest at the event, said,
“We are all guests on earth, so we need to nurture the environment that is most needed for mankind and make the city a green home”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. HK Ramesh, Head of Social Services Division of Baldota Group, MSPL said that for many years, the company has been making its own contribution to the environment by planting more than 20 lakh plants in mines including Hospet, Koppal and selected villages. He said planting trees from Ambedkar Circle to Narbadeva Devi school would be done.
Shri Ramesh Jeere, Chairman of Hosapet Urban Development Authority and Mr. Madhusudhan, Vice President, Mines Division of MSPL spoke. The event was attended by Municipal Councilors Sri Venkatesh Kumar, Sri Somashekhar Nayak, President of the Vijayanagara Youth Center and the Officers, Mr. Sunil Gowda of Green Hospet and Mr. Prabhakar, Mr. Obali. BN Nagaraj of the organization welcomed and greeted.
