The free inoculation drive for Covid-19 that was carried out in various parts of the district received a great response as there was a huge crowd waiting outside the designated vaccine centres in Hosapete. The age group of 18-45 received vaccination for free.
The notification came a day earlier notifying all the youngsters about the number of slots and vaccination centres available in the entire district. The sub-divisional officer Siddharameshwara visited B.R Ambedkar school and urged people to maintain social distancing.
He visited all the vaccination centres and reviewed the vaccination process. On the other hand, Tahsildar H Vishwanath, Health Inspector Dr Bhaskar also visited a few vaccination centres and inspected the vaccination drive centres.
A total of 12,000 people aged 18 to 44 in the HB Halli received the first dose of the Covid vaccine.
8,000 people in HB Halli Taluk and 2000 in municipal jurisdiction will be vaccinated. The vaccination centres were opened in 47 parts of the taluka, including Tambrahalli, Morigeri, Magimavinahalli, Upanayakanahalli and Marambiha.
A vaccination campaign will be launched simultaneously in many areas including Mariammannahalli and Kottur in the district. A total of 12,000 people are already vaccinated since the vaccination drive began.
The second dose vaccine is given 84 days after the first dose. “We are constantly working with the Taluk administration to free the place we live in, Covid free. I urge people to get their vaccine and to fight Covid bravely”, said HB Halli Taluk Physician Dr Shivaraja. PWD AEE Prabhakar Shetra were among others.
