In celebration of World Environment Day, Jindal Saw Limited Company, located in Kuditini town of Bellary district, took a proactive stance by organizing a series of environmental awareness programs throughout World Environment Week from June 5th to June 11th, 2023. As part of their efforts, the company orchestrated a remarkable cleanliness campaign at the Tungabhadra Bathing Ghat in Hampi.
On June 11th, approximately 60 individuals actively participated in the Swachh Abhiyan, including the management staff of Jindal Saw Limited, company contractors, and contractor workers. The campaign aimed to address the issue of clothes, plastic waste, and other debris that had been irresponsibly discarded by tourists into the river.
In a display of commitment to environmental preservation, the participants meticulously collected the waste materials from the riverbanks. The collected waste was efficiently transported using a tractor, ensuring proper disposal and preventing further pollution of the scenic Tungabhadra River.
