The Swadesh Darshan 2.0 initiative has chosen two locations from the following states: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Goa, Gujarat, and Kerala. Hampi and Mysore in Karnataka have been chosen from among these. In response to this, CM Basavaraja Bommai tweeted his joy at the inclusion of Hampi and Mysore in the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 project, which was launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture in 2014–15.

The Swadesh Darshan program represents a new turning point in the nation’s tourist development. In India, there are plenty of locations to see. Thus, one of the key national initiatives to develop tourism is the Swadesh Darshan Yojana of the Union Ministry of Tourism. A project has been started to integrate various themed tourist circuits in order to increase tourism overall. This program was introduced by the federal government in 2015.
Tourism growth is combined with initiatives like Transparent Bharat Abhiyan, Skill India, and Make in India under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana. The center’s mission is to link the growth of all of these projects with tourism.
