The forthcoming Third G20 Culture Working Group and Third G20 Sherpa meetings, scheduled to take place in Hampi from July 9 to 16, are expected to witness the participation of delegates representing a diverse range of countries, potentially reaching up to 43 nations, encompassing the G20 member states.
Amitabh Kant, the CEO of NITI Aayog and head of the Sherpa team, visited to Hampi on Sunday, inspected the venue and held a meeting with relevant officials to discuss the ongoing preparations.
Amitabh Kant stated that Hampi, a renowned heritage hub and tourist destination, will host the Third G20 Culture Working Group and Third G20 Sherpa meetings from July 9 to 16. Kant also mentioned that he has personally held discussions with officials regarding the arrangements for the upcoming events.
Emphasizing the significance of the theme for India’s G20 Presidency, he highlighted that the theme, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future,’ reflects the inclusive and global approach of the G20 summit, which is set to witness participation from delegates representing 43 nations.
Expressing his commitment to the smooth conduct of the meetings, Venkatesh T, the Deputy Commissioner of Vijayanagar, affirmed that efforts are underway to guarantee the success of the upcoming events. He further expressed his pride in the opportunity to host the meetings, considering it a significant moment for the region.
