It has been reported that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed his partymen operating in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region not to be worried by the launch of a new political party by mining baron Janardhana Reddy.
Amit Shah, who represents the BJP in four districts in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region, also known as Kalyan Karnataka, made this statement during the core committee meeting on Thursday.
Former BJP leader Janardhan Reddy has recently established his own party, Kalyan Karnataka Pragathi Paksha (KKJP). He had actively campaigned in the districts of Bellary, Vijayanagara, Koppal, and Raichur, saying that no one could stop him by raiding his businesses. His comments came after ED and IT raids on his companies.
Amit Shah was notified by the local BJP leaders and members that Janardhana Reddy has announced his candidacy from the Gangavathi constituency. Reddy is pitching his wife Aruna Lakshmi from the Bellary city constituency, according to Somashekara Reddy, a current BJP MLA from Bellary City and Janardhana Reddy’s brother.
The leaders advised Amit Shah that the Janardhana Reddy factor would put the BJP in a difficult situation and favor the Congress party.
According to sources, Amit Shah has told the party leaders not to worry about the Janardhana Reddy factor in the area. He assured them that he is present and that he will handle the problem appropriately.
Additionally, he urged the party leaders to emphasize establishing the party at the local level in their respective districts.
