10 PU 1st year students from Anand Singh college received tabs recognizing and symbolizing the importance of technical knowledge skills along with academics in the modern era. This symbolic distribution took place on Wednesday in Hosapete.
The Principal of the Anand Singh college, B G Kanakeshamurthy said, “The students have to inculcate various skills important in their upcoming lives, which is why the government has decided to distribute tabs to the students in need”.
“Over 862 students pursuing PU first year, will receive tabs in the following academic year. Last year laptops were distributed to the graduate students, I’m glad the government decided to give out tabs to the deserving students”, informed Mr Murthy.
He also spread awareness among the students regarding the misuse of the technology they were going to be provided. He made the students realize any mischievous activity on technological grounds would lead to cybercrime.
The Principal urged the students to make good use of the tabs and mainly use it for educational purposes. “We have started 12 Smart and 3 digital classes in the college. This college is now the first college to have digital classes in the Kalaburgi region. This proud moment was possible because of the constant efforts from the District in-charge minister Anand Singh”, said the Principal proudly.
Urban Development Authority Chairman Ashok Jeere, delivered the tabs to the students and addressed the students saying they should take advantage of tabs and that the new education policy will be implemented rendering great change in the education system.
