Schools face apathy from parents as the admission process began from June 15

The Department of Public Education has ordered the schools to begin the admission process for the new academic year from June 15, 2021, and will continue till the end of this month. On the first day of admission, the schools did not receive an enthusiastic response from the parents in Hosapete.

Across the Taluk, schools were opened from Tuesday after a long time and a few parents visited a number of schools enquiring about the admission process and collecting all the details.

The parents are mostly concerned about the upcoming 3rd wave of COVID-19, as it is expected to be disastrous for the children aged between 0-18. The effects that would pertain because of the Covid has left many parents concerned and worried about their kids’ future.

As there is a high level of uncertainty prevailing across the state, the mode of imparting education shall be finalized in the upcoming days keeping in mind the spread of the virus. The mode of education as offline or online shall be discussed in future, but for now, the admission process has to take place said, officials.

“I admitted my daughter in nursery 2 years ago, Even when the Covid pandemic existed, I paid for my daughter’s next year fees thinking it would benefit some or the other way. The homework was sent through WhatsApp and the class lectures were taken through online mode, but my daughter failed to understand most of it, Because of all that, we are thinking about what to do in the following academic year”, said a parent Ramanna.

“The admissions have begun from June 15, but nobody has been admitted on the first day, but there might be admissions in the upcoming days”, said Rubina Begum, Principal of National School, Patel Nagar.
