In connection with the recent tragedy at ‘Jindal Steel Limited,’ a case of negligence has been lodged against six company officials, including the vice president in charge of the HSM-03 unit.
Mahendra, the brother of one of the deceased from Bhuvanahalli, Hospet, filed a complaint at the Torangal police station, prompting the registration of a case under Section 304(A) of the IPC.
The named officers include the Vice-President-in-charge of the HSM-3 unit, AVP of the Safety Department, Manager of the Safety Department, Officer of the Civil Department, Supervisor of the Safety Department, and Officer-in-Charge of the Mechanical Department. However, the FIR does not specify any individual names.

Jadiappa, one of the victims, was married to Sandhya Rava, who is now expecting. Jadiappa had been employed at Jindal’s factory for five years.

The tragedy claimed the lives of Jadeppa from Hospet taluk, Mahadevan from Chennai, and Sushant from Bangalore. Chennabasayaswamy accused Jindal’s management of negligence and called for a judicial inquiry into past accidents, stressing the need for fair compensation and employment opportunities for the victims’ families.
