Occupants of a moving car had a narrow escape after their vehicle caught fire all of sudden on National Highway 50 near Virupapura. The occupants are from Ayyanahalli Village of Vijayanagara district and were travelling to Kudligi.
The vehicle is a Renault Triber registered at Hospet. The Petrol engine suddenly caught fire and the occupants of the car stopped the vehicle midway and moved out. They are reported to be safe and unaffected by the fire. On being informed, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
