The government officials on Monday had visited the towns sugar factory after viewing the repair workshop, they said some of the work has already been undertaken with the aim of restarting the old sugar factory.
This sugar factory is considered as the lifeline of the farmers, but soon after the factory was shut down the farmers started to grow paddy and sugarcane nearby and many were unemployed.
So the government officials decided to restart the sugar factory with new technology and with a cost of Rs 300-400 crore, they also said that this step would help in generating new jobs for the benefit of the farmers
But the factory is said to start only after the discussion with the local farmers and after the technical experts report.
