Infrastructure For Tourism To Be Developed In Hampi

A meeting was held on Tuesday in Kamalapur, by various officials where the talks were on boosting tourism in Hampi. The Director-General of the Indian Archaeological Department, New Delhi, Vidyavati focussed on the need to improve the infrastructure for tourism to be developed in Hampi.

She said that the Integrated Management Plan (IMP) for Hampi Development has been laid out and should be implemented effectively. However, historical monuments should not be rather, Parking, toilet, and drinking water should be arranged for the benefit of foreign and domestic tourists visiting Hampi.

In addition, the heritages must be built. She added that all departments should work together to promote the beauty of Hampi monuments.

The reconstruction work of various monuments at Hampi would be carried out in a faster manner. There is no shortage of grants for the development of Hampi. The archaeological department has instructed the authorities to issue the related reports soon.

Joint director of the Archaeological Survey Of India, Janwith Sharma, Joint Director of Tourism Department Ramesh, Ballari Collector S.S Nakul, Koppal District Commissioner Suralkar Vikasa Kishore, Hampi Management authority commissioner Tanveer Sheikh Asif, Indian Archaeological Department Hampi Zone Officer Kalimuthu and state Archaeological Department officials were present.
