In a regard to face and fight the 3rd wave of COVID-19 infection, the Ballari district administration ramps up its medical infrastructure by allocating over 50 ventilators specially reserved for kids. According to the experts’ opinions, the relevant measures have been taken up by the administration.
Similarly in the Taluk levels, it has been decided that 5-10 ventilators will be separately allocated for children during the 3rd wave, says Minister Anand Singh.
In the District Collector’s office, a meeting was held between District Collector, Police Superintendents, and Health department officials on Saturday. The DC addressed the media persons later after the meeting and said that the oxygen beds and over 500 -1000 masks would be purchased in the upcoming days for the Children in the 3rd wave. He also added that the tender for the same would be called within 10 days.
Minister Anand Singh assured the public through media persons that the cases in the district have been seeing a decline and 25 new ventilators have arrived, out of that 10 would be given to the district hospital, 10 to the VIMS hospital, and 5 to them to the Jindal Hospital. DC requested not to panic regarding the shortage of beds in the district as there is none.
COVID care hospital in Jindal has also been seeing recovery of 126 patients who came in infected, said Anand Singh. In order to contain the spread of COVID in the district, the stricter rules of complete lockdown in the districts of Ballari and Vijayanagara have proven to be effective.
