COVID-19 active cases numbers decline.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases at Ballari has declined. On the 1st of Jan 2021, Ballari had only 4 new Positive cases and a total of 148 active cases. The decline has come regardless of the ease in travel restrictions and other activities that have begun to return to normalcy.

The total positive cases at Ballari as of 1st Jan 2021 are 38860. Whereas the total discharged cases are 38115. Thus the recovery rate is 98.08%.

Union health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Saturday stated that the Covid-19 vaccine will be provided free of cost across the country. The minister made the statement while talking to media after reviewing the dry run of administering the Covid-19 vaccine at the Maternity & Child Welfare (MCW) Centre in

Asked if the Covid-19 vaccine will be provided free of cost, like in Delhi, Vardhan replied that “not just in Delhi, it will be free across the country.”

The dry run will be conducted by all the states and Union Territories from Saturday. Vaccination drill is being conducted in all states/UTs in 116 districts across 259 sites. Except for giving the actual vaccine, every procedure is being followed during the drill, Vardhan further said.
