In the ongoing investigation into the Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Ballari, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is actively searching various areas in connection with the incident. The agency is also examining CCTV footage from Hospet, Kudligi bus stands, and other relevant areas.
Surveillance footage from the Ballari bus stand on the day of the blast reportedly captures the accused disembarking from the bus and subsequently hiring an auto to enter the city. The auto driver claims to have dropped the passenger near the Ballari Urban Development Authority (BUDA) office. Acting on this information, the NIA has conducted searches in nearby hotels, while local authorities are scrutinizing CCTV footage for additional leads.
The accused allegedly arrived in Ballari on the night of March 1, the same day as the explosion, taking precautions to avoid detection by changing clothes in Bengaluru before boarding a bus.
In a significant development, the NIA has taken custody of three individuals from Bengaluru Central Jail and one from Ballari Jail, suspecting their possible links to the accused.
The NIA has released an image of the accused and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information leading to their arrest.
Meanwhile, marking a week since the Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru, the owners have reopened the popular eatery with enhanced security measures. The reopening ceremony included the playing of the national anthem, and the cafe now employs a metal detector, ensuring thorough security checks for all patrons before entry.
