A Ballari man has landed in trouble after allegedly creating fake lease documents and subsequently filing a civil case in a local court using the same documents. The Archaeology Department raised concerns over the authenticity of the documents, following which an FIR was registered and a police investigation was initiated into the alleged forgery and use of the documents.
The case came to light after questions were raised about the authenticity of lease-related documents connected to property under the Archaeology Department.
According to the complaint, the documents were allegedly fabricated and later presented as genuine in a civil court case. The use of the disputed documents in legal proceedings has become a key part of the investigation.
Police are now examining the documents and the circumstances under which they were prepared and submitted. Investigators are also expected to verify the original departmental records and determine whether anyone else was involved.
The case highlights how allegedly forged documents can have serious legal consequences when they are used in official or judicial proceedings.
The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations will have to be established through the due legal process.
