Anand Singh clarifies, he has nothing to do with Somashekhar Reddy not getting Ministerial post

Newly appointed Minister Anand Singh clarifies that he has not played politics for Leader G Somashekhar Reddy not getting Ministerial post. “Somashekhar Reddy is equivalent to an elder brother to me, If I get the post, he gets it. If he had gotten the post, I would be equally happy”, said Anand Singh speaking to media persons.

Anand Singh returned from Bengaluru after the swearing-in ceremony as the new Minister in Chief Minister Bassavaraj Bommai’s cabinet. His followers welcomed him with great enthusiasm and glee. They celebrated his arrival by bursting crackers. Minister Anand Singh had visited Ballari to attend a meeting discussing Covid precautionary measures and to assess the flood situation.

He also explained that he has requested the new Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to give him back the previous government portfolio. “Distribution of portfolio is a Chief Minister’s prime right, I will discharge my responsibilities no matter what. I will be happy if I will be assigned my requested portfolio.

The district-In-charge ministers have not been changed, It will remain the same as it was during BS Yediyurappa’s government, says Anand Singh. At least as of now, Minister Anand Singh has been assigned the charge of the Ballari district.

Mr Singh visited Kanaka Durgamma temple in Ballari and offered prayer. The followers of Anand Singh welcomed him in the city by felicitating him with a stole.
