Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has clarified that the government is committed to holding the Hampi Utsav this year in the month of November. He was speaking to reporters in Harapanahalli after inspecting the crops damaged due to lack of rainfall in the village of Nilujogi. Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had announced during the previous Hampi Utsav that the festival would be held in November, and the government is committed to fulfilling this promise. The current monsoon rainfall has failed, resulting in thousands of farmers in the district suffering crop losses. An inspection has been conducted, and a report will be submitted immediately. Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan assured that he would discuss with the Chief Minister to provide compensation to all farmers who have suffered losses, whether they have applied for crop insurance or not.
