A three-year-old child who was mauled by stray dogs 23 days ago in Ballari has passed away at NIMHANS in Bengaluru. She was among 25 individuals, including seven children, who were mauled by stray dogs in Ballari on February 3. Tayyaba Kizar, the deceased, was first admitted to the Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Science before being transferred to NIMHANS. Unfortunately, she did not respond to treatment and passed away.

Father of Tayabba Kizar Khan: “My daughter would have survived if VIMS authorities had transferred her to NIMHANS earlier.” Ballari City Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rudresh SN stated, “Following the tragedy, we quickly moved injured children and adults to VIMS. Three young patients received severe care in the ICU ward.

For the animal birth control (ABC) and anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) programs in Ballari, he claimed that tenders had been requested. He stated that the deceased’s family would receive compensation. The recent attack by stray dogs, according to social activist Prabhakar Reddy, revealed the poor job local officials were doing to control the problem.

Tayyaba is the third kid in the Ballari district to pass away from a dog attack in the past two months. Earlier, two kids from the village of Badanahatti perished.
