Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot visited the Tungabhadra reservoir on Monday evening. Mr. Gehlot was welcomed to the Vijayanagara district by Deputy Commissioner Anirudh Sravan, Superintendent of Police K. Arun, and other senior authorities at the district boundary.
In the evening, Mr. Gehlot went to the reservoir and the garden. He went on a stroll around the reservoir, gathering information from authorities from the Water Resources Department. The Governor paid a visit to Bellary’s Robert Bruce Foot Museum (Sanganakallu Museum), where he saw millennium-old fossils. Many historians were intrigued by the mummy-style coffin because they wanted to know how this technology had been used previously.
Mr. Gehlot praised the beauty of TB Dam and Vaikuntha guesthouse. He also spoke at the convocation of Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University in Ballari and Kannada University in Hampi.
