The Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu will be visiting Hampi on the 19th of August. The preparation for his arrival has already begun at Hampi.
The vice president’s helicopter will land at the helipad of the city’s municipal college. He will then travel immediately to the Tungabhadra Reservoir under special protection. In the evening, he would travel to the Mayura Bhuvaneshwari Hotel in Kamalapura.
The next day will be spent at Hampi, as his tour will begin in the morning with a darshan of God at the Hampi Virupaksha Temple and then visit the main monuments. Tourists are restricted to visit Hampi. All necessary steps have been taken to ensure his security. The roads connecting Hampi-Kamalapur are being cleaned and fixed by covering potholes, temporary stairways are being built to make it easier to climb the monuments
Along with him, some of his officials will accompany him and will stay at the Hampi Kannada University guest house. The Vice-President is in the process of viewing all of Hampi’s major monuments.
