54 people from Ballari booked for smuggling ore to Tamil Nadu

An FIR was lodged against 54 people at a rural station here on Wednesday following allegations of illegal ore smuggling. It is alleged that from Ballari Taluk the ore was illegally transported to Tamil Nadu in 19 lorries.

The Department of Mines and Geology has taken action against 54 people, including Ispat’s Bhawanisim and Kapil alias Sanjayakumar, Shashidhar of Parvati Traders, Seena of Bellary Manikanta Transport, Malli of Sahitya Transport.
