Early today (Friday), a wind turbine fan, installed by JSW Company in Hiral village under Kalingeri Gram Panchayat of Choranur, Sandur, Ballari broke down due to extreme wind. The fan, placed on the farm of Ramanjaneya Shetty, ended up damaging the maize crop in the neighboring field of Veerabhadrappa.
Villagers, already wary due to the nearby turbines, now live in increased fear. Farmers are continuing their agricultural activities under this apprehension.
Kader Pasha questioned who would be held accountable for such incidents. Notably, this is the second occurrence in recent days, with a similar incident happening in Agrahara Gram Panchayat of Hobali. Choranur police visited the scene to investigate.
