District Superintendent of Police Dr. Shobharani V.J. said the accused, Balraj (22) and Hanumantha (20), admitted to killing a man after he refused to give them ₹300 for liquor. The victim’s body is yet to be recovered.
The duo allegedly woke up the man, who was asleep in front of a shop, and demanded money. When he resisted and raised his voice, they dragged him aside and bludgeoned him with a stone.
Police said the accused, already intoxicated, had sought more money to buy alcohol. Their arrest followed a CCTV footage trail.
