Kidnapping case reported in Hospet, RPF successfully rescued a 14-year-old girl

A team of Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials from the South Western Railway successfully uncovered a case of kidnapping on Train No 18048 Amaravati Express at Hosapete Railway Station.

The apprehended individuals include a minor girl and a 23-year-old boy, who were taken into custody on Thursday. The RPF handed over the accused to the police for further legal proceedings. The Mapusa Police Station in Goa has registered a case under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the General Clauses Act.

In a separate incident, the vigilance of RPF staff in the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway led to the reunion of a 14-year-old girl with her family. The incident took place at Doddaballapur Railway Station earlier this month, where the girl had gone missing on January 9. There were suspicions that she might have boarded a train departing from Bengaluru. The parents of the girl expressed their gratitude for the prompt action taken by the RPF personnel.
