In a heartfelt tribute to both Mother Earth and the nurturing spirit of motherhood, Jain International Trade Organisation Hospet organized an impactful environmental event titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” on the occasion of World Environment Day. The event took place at Axsi Properties, behind Shanti Sagar in Rajiv Nagar, Hospet.
Held with enthusiasm and purpose, the initiative secured sponsorship for the plantation of 111 trees, which are scheduled to be planted within the next 15 days. The event saw the active participation of 75 individuals, all coming together for this symbolic green movement.
The proceedings began on a spiritual note with the chanting of the Navkar Mantra, setting a serene and reflective tone for the day. Dignitaries and special guests then took part in a ceremonial watering of the plants, highlighting the symbolic connection between nurturing life and nurturing the planet.
Among the notable attendees was Shri J.S. Ramesh Gupta, Vice President of the Hospet City Municipal Council, who graced the event as the Special Guest of Honour. He praised JITO’s continued commitment to environmental and social causes. Other distinguished guests included members from Adinath Jain Sangh, President Shri Kesarimalji Bagrecha, Secretary Shri Ashokji Modi, KKG convener Shri Inderji Bhandari, and chairman-secretaries representing various JITO wings.
Addressing the gathering, the organizers expressed deep gratitude to all the supporters and participants, stating that such community-driven efforts not only foster environmental awareness but also strengthen the bond between citizens and nature.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to sustainability, marking yet another meaningful milestone in JITO Hospet’s mission of fostering a compassionate and eco-conscious society.
