Housing minister promises 10,000 new homes for Kampli beneficiaries by February

Housing Minister and Ballari in-charge, Zameer Ahmed Khan, announced that 10,000 houses will be distributed to beneficiaries in Kampli Assembly Constituency by February next year. Speaking at a public meeting at S.N. Pete School Grounds in Kampli, he reiterated the government’s commitment to providing housing for the homeless, stating there is no shortage of funds in the Housing Department.

“Our government is determined to ensure proper housing for all the houseless in the State. As part of this initiative, 10,000 houses will be built in Kampli and distributed by next February. The Chief Minister has instructed us to complete all housing projects on time,” Mr. Khan said.

He was also felicitated at the event for securing ₹100 crore for the development of the Kampli constituency. Mr. Khan emphasized that the government’s guarantee schemes are focused on supporting the economically weaker sections and that ₹3,200 crore has been allocated for minority development, with ₹1,620 crore directed toward education for minority communities.

Kampli MLA J.N. Ganesh expressed gratitude to Mr. Khan for securing the much-needed ₹100 crore, highlighting that the constituency had long suffered from a lack of funding. Ballari City MLA Bharath Reddy also criticized the opposition for their unfounded claims that guarantee schemes would drain state revenue, pointing out that development projects are still being funded.

Several officials and local leaders, including Karnataka Waqf Board chairman Anwar Pasha, Deputy Commissioner Prashanth Kumar Mishra, and Superintendent of Police Shobha Rani, were present at the event.
