A family from Hospet in Vijayanagar district has been stranded in Pokhara, Nepal.
Girish’s family, who travelled from Hosapete to Nepal on September 6, is currently staying at a hotel in Pokhara. Anxiety gripped them after a fire broke out in another hotel nearby.
They remain indoors as mobile network issues restrict movement. The family had planned to leave for Kathmandu on September 9.
Girish, an engineer at Jindal, informed relatives that roads in Nepal are clear and that they are safe with the assistance of soldiers.
