A four-year-old boy was seriously injured in a stray dog attack in the Chittawadgi area in Hospet on Wednesday morning, sustaining injuries to his cheek, back, and leg.
The boy, was playing near his home when a stray dog attacked him, biting his cheek and injuring his back and leg. He was rushed to the 100-bed hospital for treatment and is now reported to be out of danger, according to hospital sources.
The Chittawadgi area is plagued by over 600 stray dogs, with frequent attacks on both children and adults. This recent attack highlights the growing danger, prompting social activist KM Santosh Kumar to urge the city council to take immediate action to control the stray dog population.
MLA HR Gaviyappa visited the hospital to check on the boy’s condition and inquired about his health.
