Foreigners DJ party on Tunga riverbank lands resort in trouble

Illegal parties involving foreign nationals continue to surface in Koppal district. Following a viral video showing a gathering held without permission on the banks of the Tungabhadra River near Gangavathi, police have registered a case. Action has been initiated under the KP Act. Earlier, a similar case had been filed against the owners of The Hampi Cafe. Authorities have now formed a special team to curb such unauthorized activities.

The continued presence of foreigners at such events in the district has once again drawn attention. On February 16, a large party was allegedly conducted on the riverbank near Gangavathi without obtaining prior permission. Police took note after videos of foreigners dancing to DJ music at the location went viral on social media and subsequently registered a case against those responsible.

The event took place under the jurisdiction of the Munirabad police station. Based on the viral footage, a case was booked against resort owner Piyush and the manager for organizing the gathering without approval.

According to police, the program was held in an open area in violation of regulations. A notice has been issued under the KP Act. Koppal District Superintendent of Police Ram Arasiddi stated that an investigation is underway to identify attendees. A special team has been constituted to monitor illegal activities at the resort, while the district administration has also set up a task force. Despite earlier complaints, the recurrence of such unauthorized events remains a matter of concern.
