CM Siddaramaiah to inspect Samarpana Sankalpa preparations in Hospet today

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to visit Hospet on Friday to review the ongoing preparations for the Samarpana Sankalpa, a major public event being held to commemorate two years of Congress rule in Karnataka.

The event will see the participation of DCM DK Shivakumar and several other cabinet ministers alongside the Chief Minister.

The Puneeth Rajkumar District Stadium in Hospet is witnessing rapid work to set up the main stage, with preparations actively monitored by the Vijayanagara district in-charge minister BZ Zameer Ahmad Khan and Vijayanagar MLA H.R. Gaviyappa.

As part of the event, the district administration is preparing to distribute more than 1 lakh land ownership certificates to beneficiaries from various communities.

“Over two lakh people are expected to attend the Samarpana Sankalpa. The government has ensured good governance over the past two years. Preparations for the stage have been ongoing for a week now, and I’m personally overseeing the arrangements. The CM and DCM will arrive on Friday,” Zameer told reporters.

Additionally, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge are set to address the massive gathering on May 20.

Zameer also confirmed that the district administration has completed the groundwork, including crowd comfort, traffic control, and security arrangements, to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
