CID arrested another accused nabbed after months on the run in ₹13-crore Jennimilk scam

In a new twist to the infamous ‘Jenny milk’ scam — where farmers were tricked into buying donkeys under the guise of a profitable milk venture — the CID has arrested another key accused.

The arrested individual, Anjinappa, a resident of Galemmanagudi, Vijayanagara, had reportedly been absconding for the last five months. According to police sources, he was involved in constructing sheds and was responsible for herding donkeys and assigning them to farmers as part of the fraudulent scheme.

The case, which has sparked widespread outrage, revolves around the Jenny milk company allegedly cheating farmers out of over ₹13 crore. So far, the company’s MD Nutalapati Murali, manager Umashankar Reddy, and supervisors Syed Mohammed Ghaus, Harshavardhana Raju, and Gurram Yogananda Reddy have been arrested in connection with the scam.

The ongoing investigation is being led by DySP Aslam Pasha of the CID Kalaburagi division.
