Bellary to Bengaluru bike rally on Sept. 14 for International Democracy Day

Ten seasoned bikers from Bellary district will ride to Bengaluru on September 14 as part of the International Democracy Day celebrations. The group will set off from Bellary at 10.30 am, carrying the national flag.

Additional District Collector Mohammed Zubair N. instructed officials to ensure smooth arrangements while presiding over a preparatory meeting at the District Collector’s Office on Friday. He emphasized that various district-level programs planned under the Democracy Day banner should be executed in coordination with all departments.

On September 15, both bike and cycle rallies will be held in the district under the theme “My Vote, My Right.” The district-in-charge minister, along with MLAs from all constituencies, will flag off the bike rally.

The cycle rally will begin at 8 am from the new district administration building, covering Gadigi Chennappa Circle, Kanaka Durgamma Temple, H.R. Gaviyappa Circle, and concluding at Dr. Joladarashi Doddanagouda Theater.

The Additional DC directed the District Health Officer to provide drinking water, medical facilities, snacks, and lunch along the route. Deputy Director of Social Welfare Chidanandappa, SC Welfare Officer Raju, DHO Dr. Yalla Ramesh Babu, and RTO Srinivas Giri attended the meeting.
