A team of experts from Mumbai has recently carried out a survey to assess the feasibility of installing a ropeway on the monolithic hill of Ballari. The District Administration and Ballari City MLA Nara Bharat Reddy had formally requested the Department of Tourism to consider this initiative, and the matter was also raised by Bharat Reddy during the last Belgaum winter session.
In response to these requests, the tourism minister committed to sending a team of experts for an in-depth study. The study team, led by Bharat Jain, a Mumbai-based private company, visited Ballari on February 3rd and spent two days conducting a comprehensive survey.
The team utilized drones to capture video footage of the fort and gathered still images to aid in their assessment. The findings from this survey will likely play a crucial role in determining the viability of installing a ropeway on the historic hill.
