With the increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases related to JSW, the administration has ordered all employees working in JSW to be housed within JSW township itself and to avoid any moment from JSW to other villages or towns. The employees can only move from JSW township to factory. The management shall provide the essential food supply. The only movement which is permitted is vehicles carrying goods and supplies. JSW should provide a daily report and shall strictly comply with standard operating procedure on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
These steps were taken under the Disaster Management Act 2005/ (c), (m) which states as follows-
Control and restrict the entry of any person into, his movement within and departure from, a vulnerable or affected area.
Take such other steps as may be required or warranted to be taken in such a situation.

- All employees (direct or contractual) required for working in M/s JSW Steel Limited shall be housed within JSW township itself. M/s JSW Steel Limited will select such personnel keeping in view their possible co-morbidities.
- There shall be no movement of such personnel from villages / towns to M/s ISW Steel Limited from 18.06.2020 onwards.
- Such personnel housed in M/s JSW Steel Limited shall move only between township and factory and will not venture outside. Management shall identify their teams to ensure such personnel housed inside township are provided essential supply of food grains, milk etc. on payment basis or otherwise as their management deems appropriate and also provide health care facilities in case of any such requirement.

- In case of any emergency requirement, express permission to be obtained from the Assistant Commissioner, Ballari.
