Actor Darshan’s back pain worsens in Ballari jail; medical team recommends surgery

Actor Darshan, currently incarcerated in Central Jail for a murder case, is experiencing severe back pain that has resulted in sleepless nights over the past two days. After expressing his health concerns, a doctor from BIM visited the jail to conduct a medical evaluation.

Upon examination, the swelling was detected in Darshan’s back, and following a scan, the medical team advised that he required surgery. For the time being, he has been given pain relief medication. Darshan indicated that he plans to undergo further scans and surgery once he is transferred to Bangalore. He has been dealing with this back pain since his relocation to Bellary Jail from the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bangalore.

In light of his condition, Darshan requested a surgical chair, along with a bed and pillow for comfort, but jail authorities have yet to fulfill these requests. Following the medical report regarding his back issues, it has been indicated that the jail administration will determine the next steps for his treatment and the provision of bedding in his cell. His health is being closely monitored, with a jail doctor checking on him every two days.

In a recent visit, Darshan’s son, Vinish, accompanied by his mother, Vijayalakshmi, came to see him for the first time since his transfer to Bellary. Overwhelmed upon seeing his father, Vinish broke down in tears. Darshan reassured him, encouraging him to be strong and promising that he would return home soon to spend time together. He also advised his son to focus on his studies.

During the visit, Darshan spent approximately 40 minutes with his family, receiving clothes and sweets brought by his wife. After their meeting, Vijayalakshmi and Vinish visited the Kanaka Durgamma temple in Nagar to seek blessings from the goddess.
