Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, in a notable display of devotion and stamina, climbed the 575 steps of Anjanadri Hill in just 30 minutes on Wednesday morning. Known as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, the hill is located in Gangavathi taluk of Koppal district.

The Governor and his family had arrived in Hosapete on Tuesday evening and stayed overnight at the Vaikuntha Guest House, which overlooks the full-to-the-brim Tungabhadra reservoir in Munirabad.
Before the ascent, the Governor and his family performed a special puja at the base of the hill. After reaching the top, they offered prayers at the Anjaneya Swamy temple and participated in a brief ritual. He spent around 20 minutes at the summit before descending in just 20 minutes.

Following the visit to Anjanadri, Governor Gehlot proceeded to Hampi, where he visited the Virupaksha Temple and several notable monuments, including the Ugra Narasimha, Badavilinga, and Vijaya Vittala Temple.
District officials, including Deputy Commissioner M.S. Diwakar, SP Arunangshugiri, and Tourism Deputy Director Prabhulinga S. Thalaker, accompanied him. Tourist guides Virupakshi V., Manjunatha Gowda, S. Devaraj, Yaksha, Raghavendra, and Nagaraj explained the historical significance of the sites.

Meanwhile, the Koppal district administration, represented by DC Suresh Itnal, ZP CEO Varnit Negi, SP Ram L Arasiddi, and Additional DC Sidrameshwar, felicitated the Governor and presented him with a memento in appreciation of his visit.
