A woman traveling on a KSRTC bus from Hospet to Koppal realized her gold chain, weighing 90 grams, had been stolen while she was on board. In response, she shocked everyone when she asked the bus driver to take the vehicle straight to the Hospet Town Police Station, bypassing the original route to Koppal.
Once at the station, the police wasted no time and began searching the belongings of all 73 passengers, including the bus staff. Despite their efforts, no sign of the missing gold chain was found. As the search stretched on, the passengers became visibly frustrated, with many expressing their anger over the inconvenience. Some even argued with the officers, but the situation was eventually defused when senior police stepped in.
A senior police officer involved in the search explained, “We were surprised when the bus driver arrived at the station with so many passengers. We had to check everyone’s bags, but unfortunately, the gold wasn’t found.”
With no gold recovered and the mystery still unsolved, the passengers were allowed to continue their journey back to Koppal. Although the woman’s chain remains missing, the investigation continues as authorities try to piece together the events.
