BJP leader and former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has raised suspicions that the Congress won the Lok Sabha elections, particularly in the Ballari and Raichur, using funds from various scams.
“There are numerous scams in different departments under the Congress government. I believe the Congress used this illicit money to secure victories in the recent parliamentary elections, especially in the Ballari and Raichur seats,” he stated.
Speaking to reporters in Gokak on Wednesday, Jarkiholi announced that the BJP will launch a State-wide agitation against these scams.
“It is disheartening to see that hundreds of crores meant for the welfare of poor Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes have been misappropriated. Several influential individuals are involved, and a thorough investigation is needed to bring them to justice,” he said.
Jarkiholi expressed distrust in the State government’s agencies, like the Special Investigation Team, and called for the probe to be handed over to the CBI for a truthful outcome.
He reaffirmed the BJP’s plan to initiate a State-wide agitation against scams in the Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation and other government bodies.
