MP E. Tukaram announced that construction on the LC-37 railway gate in Ramanagara will begin in August.
He made the announcement on Thursday for the ₹35.5 crore flyover and road project at LC-35, near Byala Lake in the town.
“The Shivamogga highway connecting Mariyammanahalli through Hagaribommanahalli will be widened to four lanes. A proposal worth ₹1,350 crore has been submitted following discussions with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari,” he added.
Tukaram also shared plans to set up digital libraries in three parts of the taluk and establish information and training centers for farmers to promote scientific agriculture practices.
He inaugurated a health clinic and the Labor Department’s mobile clinic at Sonia Gandhi Nagar Community Hall, as well as the Indira Canteen located within the APMC premises.
MLA K. Nemarajanaika, Municipal President M. Mariramappa, District Guarantee Implementation Committee President Kuri Shivamurthy, Taluk President Sonnada Gurubasavaraja, PLD Bank President B. Gangadhar, Tahsildar R. Kavita, and other municipal members attended the event.
