MLA J.N. Ganesh announced that ₹80 crore has been allocated for establishing various government hostels for SC, ST, backward class, and minority students in the Kampli assembly constituency. Speaking at the inauguration of the taluk-level pre-degree college students’ sports event held at the local girls’ government undergraduate college on Tuesday, Ganesh revealed that an Atal Bihari Vajpayee student hostel will be constructed in Hampadevanahalli at a cost of ₹44 crore.
Ganesh also shared that he had met Minister Sudhakar to propose the establishment of a government first-class college in Emmiganoor village. The Minister has emphasized prioritizing educational advancement in the region this year.
The event was presided over by Principal Mohammad Shafi, with attendees including Tehsildar Shivraj, Municipal Member Hemavathi Purnachandra, and leaders such as Kanakappa Sunagara, Manjesh, Sunilshreshthi, Pracharya Taranandyal, Chandrasekhara, Basavaraja, Kali Gagana, Mahabaleshwarappa, Srinivasa, Basavaraja Patil, Viresh, Ashoka Ruddere, B. Zafar, and H. Kumaraswamy.
