On National Highway-50 near Near Hospet Tunnel, a wind turbine wing that fell on Sunday night has not been fully cleared from the highway. The incident occurred near the Gundaa botanical garden, close to the tunnel, on National Highway-50, where the wind turbine wing fell on Sunday night. Although hours have passed since the accident, the wing has only been partially moved to one side using cranes on Sunday night. As a result, traffic was diverted to one side of the highway for about 100 meters until Monday afternoon, allowing vehicles to move in both directions. The driver of the vehicle transporting the wind turbine wing from Tamil Nadu to Gadag lost control, causing the wing to fall and resulting in a traffic jam. The congestion led to a queue of vehicles stretching about 3 kilometers on the Bengaluru-Solapur highway on Sunday night. The police intervened and, with the help of cranes, moved the wing to the side of the road, facilitating smooth traffic flow. Over 10 local police personnel have been deployed at the site.
