In a notable achievement, the Vijayanagara district police have returned stolen valuables worth Rs 2.15 crore to their owners after a year-long operation.
A total of 244 cases of stolen property, valued at Rs 2,15,53,637, were resolved during this period. The recovered items included a KSRTC bus, gold and silver articles, cows, buffaloes, and other valuables.
During this time, cases involving stolen property worth Rs 5,54,89,001 were reported, with the police successfully recovering items worth Rs 2,15,53,637.
The recovered valuables included 96 two-wheelers valued at Rs 85,83,637, 18 gold ornaments worth Rs 42,31,200, 30 silver ornaments worth Rs 95,300, and 25 mobile phones worth Rs 2,05,000, all of which have been returned to their rightful owners.
