The annual festival of Sandur Education Institute was held at Rayarakere on December 13, 2025, showcasing the institution’s emphasis on holistic education rooted in values and discipline. MLA, Shri H. R. Gaviyappa, addressed the gathering as the chief guest and spoke about the importance of adopting culture and ethics along with academic education.
The programme highlighted that education should go beyond textbooks and examinations to shape students into responsible and socially conscious individuals. Sandur Education Institute was described as an institution known for imparting discipline, cultural values, and ethical learning, earning it a respected place among educational institutions in North Karnataka.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA stated that while education helps build a career, culture and ethics teach students how to live meaningfully in society. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the institution and to carry forward the values instilled in them.
Presiding over the function, the head of the organization, Mrs. Yashodharadevi Ghorpade, spoke on the relevance of the Upanishadic message Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya in today’s world. She explained that light symbolizes knowledge, truth, compassion, and inner awareness, while darkness represents fear, confusion, and ignorance. She emphasized that education plays a crucial role in moral development and in guiding society towards unity and harmony.
Cultural programmes based on the theme of light captivated the audience and reflected the institution’s focus on creativity, values, and cultural expression.
The programme was presented by Kumari Alaina, Kumari Tasmiya, and Kumari Manya. Teacher Vishwanath Bhatta welcomed the gathering, and Principal Chandrika Anand proposed the vote of thanks.
