Former minister B. Sriramulu, amid ongoing business and political disputes with BJP MLA Janardhana Reddy, has closed the gate that once connected their houses.
According to sources close to Sriramulu, the gate, previously used by Reddy to access Sriramulu’s property, was recently sealed. While Sriramulu claims the decision was based on Vastu concerns, insiders suggest the move stems from deep-seated tensions between the two leaders.
The Gate’s History:
During their political heyday, Sriramulu and Reddy, who built adjacent bungalows in the Havambhavi area along Siruguppa Road, had constructed a small gate in the wall separating their homes to allow easy access. Located about 50 meters apart, the gate was designed for single-person use and symbolized their close bond.
However, the gate fell into disuse after their friendship soured. Recently, it was permanently sealed with cement and mortar. Local political observers interpret the closure as a symbolic end to their long-standing camaraderie. Nevertheless, a revival of their friendship could one day reopen the gate.
