Doctors, staff nurses, employees and PG students staged protests Wednesday demanding the quarantine of nurses who treated the 18-year-old girl from Siruguppa. A doctor who treated the girl at VIMS had been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection.

An 18-year-old girl from Siruguppa Taluk Gosabalu village who was admitted to the city’s Wims Hospital three days ago has been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection and suffers from severe respiratory problems. The doctor who treated the infected young woman was quarantined. Protesting doctors and staff nurses have demanded that the staff nurses and nurses who have helped treat the infection also be quarantined. Doctors and staff nurses have been forced to quit, creating a disturbing environment.
