PM Modi criticised Congress corruption in election rally at Hospet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his campaign visit to Hospet, Karnataka, accused certain countries and institutions of desiring a weak Indian government to exploit easy profits. He initiated his address by extending greetings to the residents of Bellary and Koppal, Vijayanagara and deities Anjanadri, Hampi Virupaksha, and Vijaya Vitthal.

Addressing a public gathering, Modi asserted that the progress and strength of India were unsettling to some entities who preferred a weaker administration for their own gains. He criticized the Congress government, alleging its complicity in such corruption and asserting that his government has disrupted the dominance of lobbyists in the corridors of power since 2014.

Modi highlighted the strides made in various sectors, emphasizing initiatives like “vocal for local” and the development of industries in Karnataka. He criticized the Congress for allegedly impeding progress, particularly in sectors like electricity supply and farmer welfare.

Additionally, Modi accused the Congress of being anti-SC/ST and anti-women, highlighting the BJP’s achievement of appointing Droupadi Murmu, a woman from a Scheduled Tribe, as the President of India. He mentioned the opposition faced by Murmu and also by Ramnath Kovind, a Dalit, when they were nominated for the presidency.

Furthermore, Modi stated that before 2014, the politics of brokers prevailed in New Delhi, with rooms booked in hotels for years in the name of brokers. However, he claimed that after 2014, the influence of brokers has diminished significantly.

Modi also condemned the Congress for allegedly prioritizing its vote bank over public safety, citing incidents like a bomb blast in a Bengaluru cafe and the stabbing death of a young woman in a college in Hubli during the Congress government’s rule.

During the rally, Modi highlighted achievements such as the completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the transformation brought about by his government’s policies. The crowd echoed his sentiments with chants of “Modi, Modi.”

In conclusion, Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to development and vowed to continue working towards a prosperous India, despite opposition from vested interests. He also emphasized the cleanliness drive in the corridors of power post-2014 and highlighted India’s transformation from a toy importer to a major toy exporter.
