During a recent event, MP Rajasekhara Hitnal emphasized the urgency of constructing an overpass at Huligi, Shahapura, Hosalli, and Metagal due to heavy traffic on National Highway 30, which passes through these villages. Over the past three years, 500 road accidents have occurred in this area, resulting in the loss of 234 lives. The Huligi overpass is seen as a crucial measure to enhance road safety and alleviate the risk of further accidents.
MLA Raghavendra Hitnal, who attended the ceremony, announced plans for a new multi-specialty hospital in Koppal district, approved by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Additionally, former MP Karadi Sanganna highlighted a proposal for a new railway line from Alamatti to Chitradurga, which would reduce the travel time between Vijayapura and Bengaluru by five hours.
The event was attended by local leaders, including the Municipal Council President Ammad Patel, Tehsildar Vishwala Chowgale, and other dignitaries from the region.
