Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan praised the PUC toppers during the Independence Day celebrations at the district stadium in Hospet City on Thursday by awarding them a scooter.
Kavitha, a student from PU College, Kottur in Vijayanagar district, who secured the top position in the state for second PUC arts, received the scooter. Additionally, the minister announced a ₹1 lakh incentive for the students during the event.
He initiated the scooter distribution by letting a student take a ride, followed by taking it for a spin himself.
