The state government has appointed district in-charge ministers on Thursday, with Food and Civil Supplies Minister K H Muniyappa being given the charge of Ballari and Vijayanagara districts. In addition to these two districts, Muniyappa has also been given the charge of Bengaluru Rural district. Previously, in Siddaramaiah’s government, Jamir Ahmed Khan was given the charge of Vijayanagara district. After B Nagendra’s resignation, the charge of Ballari district was also given to him as an additional responsibility.
